Business Retention and Expansion (BRE) focuses on making businesses more competitive and sustainable. BRE programs help businesses weather economic downturns and provides resources to help businesses grow to the next level. BRE's also help the Town of Bonnyville by stabilizing employment and taxation levels.

Another focus of the Economic Development office is to provide outbound marketing to attract new businesses to the Town. Additionally, it provides a central point of contact for inquiries of businesses/entrepreneurs who wish to move to Bonnyville. 

The Economic Development Office and Town staff/officials are constantly interacting with the general public and businesses. We use this intelligence to help make connections to allow businesses in the community to be more successful.

Economic Development is more than business attraction and retention. It is also about building community - whether it is engaging in community beautification projects, technology maker space development, or spearheading the development of community volunteer groups, each enhances the community we live in.
